New way to share your band photographs

The website upgrade is in progress. It will be easier to navigate. It will even have a Band Store.

We will be using Flickr.com to post photos. Flickr is part of Yahoo.com.

There is a “Group” called “Showband of the South” (SBOTS for short) with an address URL of http://www.flickr.com/groups/sbots/ .

Anyone can view photos posted in our group but you must be a member to post photos.

You will be able to post your own photos after you are approved.

You need to go to Flickr.com and create an account

Once in go to “Explore” then to “Groups”
1^st time search “Showband” and select “sbots” (your 2^nd time it will be bookmarked)
Go to “Join this Group”, read rules, and click join
You will receive a message that SBOTS is by invitation only.
You must agree to rules and email a request for invitation including your real name.
Once I have reviewed the email & approved access, then you will receive an email that you are now a member.
You will post photos under your Flickr account name. Then select what photos you want to “Send to Group”
Bandwidth is not unlimited in a free account. YOU CAN ONLY UPLOAD 10 SMALL SIZE PHOTOS TO SBOTS GROUP EACH WEEK

So pick out your best Ireland trip photos. They should have people in them. Label where and when they were taken.

And share them with the world.

This is a work in progress and I know we will have the occasional bump.
