An FMBC Regional Qualifier

The Tate High School Band Boosters Association invites your band to come to Pensacola, FL to participate in the 7th Annual Gulf Coast Showcase of Champions on November 1, 2008.

 

Bands from throughout the southeast come together for an educational, competitive and entertaining experience performing for units and spectators.

 

BAND CLASSIFICATION

Class is determined by total number of wind players:

 

Class A:

 

1-30

Class AA:

31-44

Class AAA:

45-64

Class AAAA:

65-84

Class AAAAA:

85-UP

 

A band may not enter a smaller class, but may enter a larger class.

 

RATINGS

Ratings will be awarded as follows:

 

DISTINGUISHED

85-100

SUPERIOR

70-84.9

PROFICIENT

50-69.9

APPRENTICE

0-49.9

 

The contest will be in prelims / finals format, with the top band from each class plus the next highest remaining scores (regardless of class).  Up to twelve bands will advance to open finals.

Each band in prelims will receive a plaque with score sheets.

 

Each band in finals will receive a trophy with score sheets.

Outstanding trophies will be awarded in each of the following categories:

Twelfth Place thru Second Place

Meal packages are offered to all participants at very reasonable prices (pre-ordered with registration).

Contest logo shirts and patches will be available

Prelims and Finals DVD available on site by PROCAT VIDEO

 

 

Show packet with details will be mailed 2 weeks before contest date.

 

REISTRATION INFORMATION

 

Regular Entry Fee - $100.00 (Payable to: Tate Band Boosters)

 

Prelims performance order will be determined by postmark of registration. Earlier postmark performs later in class.
