On Friday, May 4th the Tate Jazz Bands will be having their Spring Jazz Concert at 6:30 PM in the Tate Cafeteria.

The student Jazz Combo, Varsity Jazz Band, Concert Jazz Band, and Symphonic Jazz Band will be performing charts they've prepared this Spring.

The student combo has been entirely prepared by the students and will be an exciting new addition to our concert this Spring.

The Symphonic Jazz Band, fresh off their trips to Tallahassee, New Orleans, and playing the main-stage at the Pensacola Jazz Festival will be joined by Mr. Larry Panella.  Larry is the Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.  He is an alumni of the University of North Texas and the famous One O'Clock Lab Band.  Larry also toured with Phil Collins and his big band several years ago.  We are excitied to have an educator and performer of his caliber joining us for our concert.
