The Tate "Showband of the South" traveled to the FMBC State Marching Band Championship to compete in class 5A.

Fifteen bands were entered in Class 5A and only the top five bands could advance to finals.  Tate finished fifth in prelims with the drumline finishing fourth and the colorguard finishing second in their respective categories.

In finals Tate retained their placement of fifth behind Seminole, Choctawhatchee, Timber Creek, and Cooper City.
