On a beautiful Fall day the Tate Band Boosters hosted the 5th annual Gulf Coast Showcase of Champions marching band competition. 20 of the Southeast's finest marching bands converged on the campus of Tate High School to be adjudicated in a Prelims/Finals format.
During the Prelims Round the results were as follows:
Class A Winner: Purvis High School (MS)
Class AA Winner: Long Beach High School (MS)
Class AAA Winner: Foley High School (AL)
Class AAAA Winner: Fort Walton Beach High School (FL)
Class AAAAA Winner: Choctawhatchee High School (FL)
Thirteen of the Prelims participants were selected to advance to the Finals Round. A quick recap of the results are as follows:
