The Tate High School "Showband of the South" attended the Emerald Coast Marching Festival at Choctawhatchee High School on Saturday.  The festival consisted of two parts - an early afternoon ratings festival and an evening FMBC state qualifier.

Ratings Festival - Tate received the rating of Distinguished, the highest rating possible, in every caption and was the only band of the day to do so.  Congratulations to the band, colorguard, drumline, and drum majors on your fantastic accomplishment.

FMBC Regional - Tate received a score of 85.99 and was honored with the Grand Champion trophy of the Emerald Coast Marching Festival.  Tate was also awarded the top caption trophies in music, general effect, and percussion.  Congratulations to all students and parents involved with this tremendous accomplishment.
